Brad wipes out at Malaysian MotoGP
Brad Binder crashed at the Malaysian Grand Prix meaning the Krugersdorp MotoGP sensation has now dropped to sixth in the standings.
Brad Binder’s crash at the Sepang International Circuit of the Malaysian Grand Prix means he not only lost out on points but dropped to sixth on the MotoGP standings.
According to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, Brad initially started the penultimate race of the MotoGP but crashed in the second corner. The race was then restarted but Brad could not take part due to an injured left shoulder.
“The Malaysian Grand Prix got underway with stifling heat, cloudy skies and the promise of a draining 20-lap distance ahead. Brad had aimed to stretch a reasonably positive weekend so far into the critical moment of the meeting where he qualified in 10th respectively and had scored seventh in the Saturday Sprint,” the team explained.
“Contact through the exit of turn one and into turn two and the most chaotic moment of the race collected Brad as contact ensued and multiple riders were affected. Brad came back to the pit box but felt discomfort with his left shoulder and did not reform on the grid,” the team revealed.
Brad is three points behind Pedro Acosta.
The date and location of the 20th and final Grand Prix of the season will take place at The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on November 17, having already hosted the sixth round of the championship back in May.
