Gymnasts tumble to the top

Summit Gymnastics Club returned home with several gold medals after competing in Centurion.

The Summit Gymnastics Club did not disappoint yet again after competing in the IAfrica Tumbling competition recently.

Coach Lauren Perry said this competition took place at the Matsport Centre in Centurion recently where 28 tumblers took part.

“All level 1 to 3 girls earned gold medals based on their scores with Amonè Marais (level 1), Mia Marais (level 2), Charnè Pretorius and Tenieke Malan (level 3), Teagan Kilian (level 3) declared IAfrica overall winners,” she said proudly.

She further explained from level 4 and up, medals were only awarded to the top three tumblers.

The rest of their achievements are as follows:

Jaans Kok (Level 4), Elonay Pretorius (Level 5) and Larissa Kleingeld (also Level 5) all bagged gold while Kenzi Germishuys (Level 5) took silver.
