Krugersdorp plays host to prestigious inter-district netball trials

Some great talent was displayed at the prestigious inter-district netball trials in Krugersdorp and Neo Mathebula was one of those who stood out.

Neo Mathebula, a talented netball player from Discovery Primary Full Service School, recently had the exciting opportunity to represent her school and District 12 at the prestigious inter-district netball trials in Krugersdorp.

The highly competitive event brought together top players from various districts, including D2 and D14, intending to select the best talent to form the West Rand team that will compete in provincial tournaments.

Neo, a member of the school’s U13 team, has been making waves in the sport since she started playing in Grade Three. Specialising as a Goal Shooter, Neo’s skills and dedication have earned her recognition and admiration from her peers and coaches.

Although Neo didn’t make the final cut for the West Rand team, she impressed everyone with her outstanding performance.

Deputy principal Tanya Meyer beamed with pride, saying, “Neo played an excellent game, and as the shortest shooter, she truly held her own.

We are extremely proud of her for showcasing her skills and representing our school with such passion and determination.”
