This was the first meeting between the schools in the Mogale School Soccer Cluster League U15 division.
Thuto Lefa struck early in the first half, with striker Obakeng Mogari finding the back of the net just 10 minutes into the game. JDK’s Karabo Thebe responded with an equaliser eight minutes later. Quintin Yumba came close to scoring a second for Thuto Lefa before Obakeng netted his second goal of the match, putting Thuto Lefa ahead. A lapse in focus from JDK allowed Thuto Lefa to dominate proceedings. However, Thebe managed to pull one back, scoring JDK’s second goal after 23 minutes. The first half ended with Thuto Lefa narrowly leading 3–2.

JDK coach Nelson Nelufule motivated his team and made tactical changes during halftime, which paid off when Karabo Cele equalised 10 minutes into the second half. However, Obakeng completed his hat-trick 20 minutes into the half after skilfully dribbling past JDK’s defence. The match turned physical as both teams fought hard for the top spot in the league. Late in the game, Obakeng added a fourth personal goal and a fifth for Thuto Lefa, sealing a convincing win.

Thuto Lefa coach Tommy Makgwe was pleased with his team’s performance.
“I’m happy for the team because we always strive to improve on our previous games.
Tactically, mentally, and physically, we were prepared and ready. I’m looking forward to collecting more points,” said Tommy.
JDK coach Nelson Nelufule reflected on the loss.
“I’m disappointed with the outcome, but I’m extremely proud of the boys’ effort,” he said.
Player of the Match, Obakeng, also shared his thoughts.
We’ve been working hard as a team, and I will always give my best to achieve great things in football,” he said.
Thuto Lefa won the match 5–3 and remains unbeaten in the league, topping the table with nine points.
