Late crash ends Binder’s French MotoGP challenge
Krugersdorp MotoGP star failed to finish the Grand Prix of France after a late crash ended a promising race weekend.
MotoGP rider Brad Binder competed at the Le Mans circuit in France over the weekend but was unable to finish the race.
The Grand Prix of France took place from May 8 to 10, and according to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing
team, Binder lost traction during the final six laps of the race, resulting in a crash and retirement.
Binder explained that his front wheel locked while entering turn seven, causing him to lose control and change direction.

“It was a fast crash. I braked a bit later and with a bit more pressure. It was just too much,” he said.
Despite not finishing, Binder said he felt quicker during the race compared to Saturday and believed he was making progress throughout the weekend.
“The positive is that in the morning warm-up, I was quicker, and in the race as well, compared to Saturday. I felt like I was on my way forward. Everything felt easier,” he concluded.
Binder is currently 13th in the championship standings and will compete again at the Grand Prix of Italy from May 29 to 31.
