Great events lined up this weekend … take note! Wals om die Wêreld Basaar 30 AUGUSTUS — Die NG Gemeente Krugersdorp-Noord hou ‘n Wals om die Wêreld Basaar by die kerkgronde vanaf 3nm tot laat! Die vrolike atmosfeer en heerlike musiek gaan jou laat wals en draai, so al om die wêreld! Wanneer jou voete juk, mag jy maar dans! Eg-tradisionele basaarkosse soos kerrie en rys, pap en wors, worsrolle, Chip n Dip, jaffels, hamburgers, pannekoek, poeding, pizza en tuisgebak gaan te koop wees! Heerlike vermaak word vir die kinders aangebied. Dit gaan ‘n lekker jol wees –kom besoek hulle gerus op die hoek van Viljoen en Derdestraat, Krugersdorp-Noord, jy sal nie spyt wees nie! Wyn Aand 30 AUGUSTUS — Die Hervormde Kerk Krugersdorp, 61 Wishartstraat, Quelleriepark, hou ‘n Wine and Food Pairing-aand wat jy nie moet misloop nie! Raise-a-mill for a worthy cause 31 AUGUST — The Raise-a-million event will be a fun-filled event that will consist of a colour walk/ run, and U/15 netball and football games for female participants only. Food stalls for entrepreneurs will be available for booking. The organisers’ main goal is to collect sanitary packs, either by donating R100 using their website www.raiseamill.com, or by bringing the packs to the event, purchasing the event tickets on their website or WhatsApp, which will contribute to the purchase of sanitary packs. The event will take place at Kagiso Sports Complex, starting as early as 5.30am for the colour run. There will also be great musical performances. Ngwenya Country Market in Muldersdrift is hosting a special springtime event.

31 AUGUST — Nobody celebrated Spring like those in medieval times! The Festival of Ales at Greensleeves Medieval Kingdom from 10am will bring you drinks from the Friar’s Habit Craft Brewery, Mountain Brewing Company (from Worcester), Rockland Breweries, Stash Breweries, Rusty Old Truck, Ginologist, and Eoin’s Tankard … and the brewers will be on site for you to chat to! Dress for the occasion – or get a costume to hire at the venue. Your ticket gets you a beautifully etched glass – to fill with craft beers, mead, craft gin or wine. Wander down to the medieval market, buy yourself a drinking horn, get your own blade forged, engage in a touch of archery, indulge in some delicious food or simply watch knights battling it out. Celebrate Spring at their market which is in aid of the SPCA Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp. Support their beloved pets and bring along a can or two of dog or cat food. Come and listen to the fabulous music of Jacques Lagesse. Try some of the delicious food, cakes and snacks available. Enjoy cocktails, smoothies or refreshing champagne. Take a raffle ticket and be in line for a great prize. Buy one of SPCA’s walking doggie balloons. View the lovely array of gifts on show. Bring your kids and don’t forget, the market is pet friendly!
