Bless Krugersdorp

20 SEPTEMBER — The Sisterhood Club presents a Bless Krugersdorp event at Hoërskool Jan de Klerk and everyone is invited. Donations such as toiletries, canned food and other non-perishables will be dearly appreciated. The events starts at 2pm. For more information, contact Miss Labuschagne on 011 665 1143.
Mr and Miss Attitude
21 SEPTEMBER — Hope for the Future, a local organisation, is hosting a Mr and Miss Attitude competition at the Burgershoop Community Centre from 11.30am. Entrants stand a chance to win great prizes. There will be celebrity judges, six winners in each category and anyone can enter – babies to adults. Entry costs R50. Come and support this worthy cause. Fancy Dress Musical

22 SEPTEMBER — Riverleigh International Equestrian Centre is hosting the 16th annual Fancy Dress Musical Freestyle Festival in aid of Project Rhino. The gate entrance fee is R50 and it promises to be a festival like no other with great catering, craft beer, an outdoor market, gin and tequila coolers, an auction and so much more. Hobo Party
24 SEPTEMBER — The Hands of Care organisation is hosting a Hobo Party in aid of a Christmas Tree party for the less fortunate children they support. The party will take place at the Burgershoop Community Centre from 5pm. There will be loads of fun things in store, including a Mr and Miss Hobo Hands of Care. Dress up for the event as a hobo. Party-goers are encouraged to bring along a gift for either a boy or a girl. Musician Nadia Zara will entertain party-goers while an interesting meal will be served. Kagiso Arts and Craft Market

Heritage Day Koppie Hike

24 SEPTEMBER — Join in on a three-hour Heritage Day hike through Melville Koppies Nature Reserve starting at 8.30am sharp. You can park in the upper car park at Marks Park on Judith Road, Emmarentia, opposite their entrance.
