Top 15 finish for Brad in British GP

A difficult weekend didn’t break Brad Binder’s spirit at Silverstone, and now the focus turns to bouncing back strong in Aragon this June.

Local MotoGP racer Brad Binder took to the United Kingdom on the Silverstone Circuit and placed in the top 15.

The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team said the 5.9km length and 18 corners of Silverstone were complicated for 20 long laps of the United Kingdom Grand Prix, where late spring British weather varied between heavy showers in the morning to blue skies and fluctuating temperatures.

Brad had to opt for the best tyre choice to cope with the high consumption at Silverstone and also had to throttle hard to obtain positions on the first laps while preserving optimum grip for the full distance,” they explained.

Brad explained it was a tough weekend for the whole team, where qualifying was difficult, and they didn’t finish the Sprint on Saturday, May 24, and the race on Sunday was also tough.

“I got a good start before the red flag and didn’t on the second start. I struggled with confidence and knowing where I could push and where I couldn’t. As soon as I started to feel ok, I would have some ‘moments’. It’s hard at the moment. We need to figure things out a little bit and step up for Aragon,” Brad concluded.

Brad placed 14th at the Grand Prix, and is also currently 14th in the World Championship Standings. He will compete again in Aragon on June 6 to 8 at the GoPro Grand Prix of Aragon.
