Ethiopian man arrested for murder

The Ethiopian man who was wanted by the Maake police in connection of murder of his fellow Ethiopian man, handed himself to the police after he saw himself in the newspapers.

The Ethiopian man who was wanted by the Maake police in connection of murder of his fellow Ethiopian man, handed himself to the police after he saw himself in the newspapers.

He recently appeared in the Naphuno Magistrate Court in Lenyenye on a charge of murder.

The case was remanded to January 29 for a formal bail hearing because he was denied bail.

According to police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe the correct names of the accused are Tlhana Benea aged 28 from Ethiopia.

“The deceased can not be named now pending the protocols between the two countries.

The South African Police Service is hereby thanking the media and members of the community on this success because this man was fully exposed and realized he did not have any place to hide. Thank you very much” said Ngoepe.
