BREAKING NEWS: Woman found dead in Haenertsburg
An elderly woman was found dead by her domestic worker Monday morning on the farm Silver Mist close to Haenertsburg.
According to colonel Ronel Otto, preliminary information indicate that the woman was attacked by an unknown suspect or suspects while watching television.
“Her hands were tied behind her back with sellotape and her mouth was also closed with the same material. Her body was left under a mattress in one of the rooms.” said Otto.
Further investigation showed that two cellphones and an Isuzu bakkie were taken from the scene.
The motive for the murder is also not clear and under investigation by the SAPS.
The woman will be identified as soon as the next of kin have been informed.
No arrests have been made yet in connection of the murder.
