Jilted lover arrested for murder
A jilted man was arrested for the brutal killing of his former girlfriend at Ga-Madumane Village in Bolobedu South at the weekend.
The deceased, Dikeledi Mahasha (29) of Mohlomeng Village ‘s body was discovered in a wheelbarrow at the 35 year-old suspect’s home.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said the victim’s body had multiple stab wounds.
It is alleged that the suspect, who is the deceased’s former girlfriend went to her home at MohlomengVillage on Friday night.
He threatened her with a knife before abducting her.
“The community members who went looking for her made a gruesome discovery of her lifeless body in a wheelbarrow at the suspect’s home on Saturday morning,” said Ngoepe.
He said the suspect was not at home at the time of the discovery of the victim’s body but was later arrested at a nearby mountain where he was hiding.
He was due to appear in the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court.
