Rapist falls asleep at victim’s home

Rape suspect, Boldwin Tshirindza (23) who raped a 67 year old woman last Saturday appeared at the Ritavi Magistrate Court on Monday, July 10.

“It is alleged that on Saturday July 8, at 01:00 the victim was asleep in her room at Mbambamenchisi in Nkowankowa Township when she was awoken by the sound of a window pane being broken.

While observing she noticed the suspect in possession of an object and he immediately jumped into her room and raped her,” said Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.

After the ordeal the rapist fell asleep.

The victim managed to alert the neighbours who summoned the police.

“The suspect was arrested in his deep sleep at the scene,” added Brigadier Mojapelo.
