VIDEO: ‘He’s got a gun, trying to pull us off the road, trying to hit us, assaulting us…’
WARNING: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE- A Sunday afternoon drive escalated into a nightmare chase for a group of friends in Tzaneen.
A video emerged on Facebook on Tuesday where a group of friends were chased by two armed suspects in a bakkie.
According to Brendon van Veenhuyzen, the group of five friends were taking a leisurely drive close to Flora Park through the smallholdings.
‘We were on a very narrow gravel road. A bakkie was parked facing us and the passenger door was opened. We politely asked if they can close the door so that we can pass. They refused. I closed it for them and traveled further. They started to chase us,’ van Veenhuyzen told the Herald.
The chase continued right into the CBD, close to NTK.
Watch the video supplied by Brendon van Veenhuyzen:
‘We continued straight to the police station. The bakkie however made a U-turn and stopped. A new passenger and driver got in the bakkie and sped off’, continued van Veenhuyzen.
