HOEDSPRUIT: Town Watch informal breakfast meeting a success
The informal breakfast meeting took place at the Blue Mountain Restaurant at Blyde.
The Hoedspruit Town Watch held a very successful, informal breakfast meeting with various role players on Tuesday.

Amongst the guests represented were Farm Watch, SAPS, Fire & Rescue, traffic department and the media. Victor Swan, Chairman of Town watch, welcomed all the guests present and explained the purpose of Town Watch.

“We are normal, law abiding citizens from all walks of life who have committed ourselves to assist local authorities and other role players in their tasks and duties in crime prevention and enforcing the law to secure a safer community for all,” he stated.

Swan said that Town Watch was committed to work together with all the relevant agencies in order to have a safe and secure environment to live and work in.

“We look forward to share in basic essential training and information from the different organisations relating to first aid, fire and rescue, police assistance and traffic control to share a safe and secure environment,” he exclaimed.

He also thanked Andrè Nel and his team of Blue Mountain restaurant for hosting the event and also expressed appreciation for all the guests who attended to represent the different agencies.
