Another robbery at Tzaneen CBD

The police in Tzaneen have opened a case of robbery after, another business man was allegedly robbed of money outside FNB bank.

According to the police a 47-year-old bakery owner from Bolobedu, was robbed of R16 000 in Morgan Street on Monday, August 1.
The man was on his way to the bank, when an African man approached him and pointed him with a gun and robbed him of the money.
The victim claims that the man immediately drove away with a white BMW vehicle, which was waiting for him on the side of the road.
This is the second robbery which took place at the very same place this year. In January another businessman was robbed of R85 000 by two gunmen outside the bank as he was also going to deposit the money inside the bank.

In February another business man was gunned down and robbed of R38 000 outside Standard Bank in the same street.
“After shooting the man in the leg, the criminals grabbed the money which the man was carrying.
“The four suspects immediately fled the crime scene in a white Audi hatchback,” Sgt Maurice Nkhwashu, explained at the time.
