Agriculture offers farmers assistance and support

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Limpopo calls on farmers to apply for support available from government.

All farmers including, subsistence, smallholder, commercial and organised producers are urged to send proposals and applications for those that require infrastructure, production inputs and mechanisation support services for the 2024 to 2025 financial year. Poultry farmers will receive support in the form of day-old chicks, point-of-lay pullets, feed and medication. Vegetable farmers can receive support in the form of seed, seedlings, fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides.

Fruit farmers’ support will involve fertilisers, pesticides, and herbicides assistance. Livestock farmers will be supported with feed, medication, and breeding stock for intensive production systems (camp control). Mechanisation subsidy support will assist producers
