Felicia starts a platform to unite twin siblings

Felicia Majozi from Nkowankowa whose twin sister passed away a few years ago, wants to create a platform where twins can share their experiences.

Felicia’s desire to create such a platform arose after she suddenly lost her twin sister, Felicity Mashila, a few years ago due to illness. It took her a while to come to terms with her sister’s death as she never thought she would one day lose her best friend. “Losing my sister was the most difficult time of my life, especially with all the myths that surround the death of a twin,” she says.

“I was told not to attend my sister’s funeral, because if I did, I would die a week later. I was also requested to wear her clothes and to jump over her coffin a day before the funeral or otherwise something bad would happen to me,” she recalls. She however refused to believe the myths and today, she is alive and well.

Majozi says their shared birthday has been hard and she would cry the whole day. Eventually she started to feel better and came up with an idea to unite twins to share their experiences. As a result, she has started a WhatsApp group for twins only. “On December 22, we will be hosting our inaugural twins’ summit at Disney Land in Nkowankowa.

“We are calling on all twins and parents who are raising twins to join us as we will be discussing topics which are beneficial to all,” Felicia says. The event will start from 10:00 and entry fee is R100, including lunch. For more information, contact Felicia at 060 814 3942.
