PUBLIC NOTICE: George’s Valley water treatment plant closed for repairs

The Greater Tzaneen Municipality notifies the public that the George's Valley Water Treatment Works will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, February 13 for planned repairs and maintenance work to be carried out on the George's Valley raw water pipeline.

“The water treatment plant will be opened as soon as the leaks are repaired. Water services will be restored once water is purified, the reservoir level is above 40% and the distribution pipelines are filled with enough water,” the Greater Tzaneen Municipality stated on a notice.

People in the following areas will likely not have water in their taps tomorrow while the repairs are underway: Aqua Park, Flora Park, Tzangeni, Golden Acres, Letaba River Estate, New Industrial Area, Premier Park, and some parts of Arbor Park.

“We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely appreciate your patience. We assure you that every effort is being made to expedite the repairs and minimise the impact on your daily lives,” stated the notice.
