Tourists experience the beauty of Limpopo

A seven-day trip to Limpopo and Mpumalanga gave five winners of a competition, accompanied by five influencers, the opportunity to experience some of the best tourist attractions in the Mopani district recently.

The winners entered a Sasol competition and won an allexpenses paid trip to Limpopo and Mpumalanga. Mzanzi Tours organised the trip. On the first day, the winners ziplined over the Letaba River at Magoebaskloof Adventures in Agatha and had dinner at Blueberry Heights. “On the second day, the they took part in a CSI initiative where Sasol Tzaneen donated school uniforms to a school,” said Thabiso Sekhula of 1000 Limpopo Secrets. “The winners slept over at Kuhestan Organic Farm and Fairview Hotel.”

The next five days were a combination of tourism activities with the teams exploring Hoedspruit, taking part in quadbiking on a game drive with giraffes and lions in a protected area as well as staying at the new Radisson Safari Hotel in Hoedspruit before heading to Mpumalanga for the second part of the road trip. CSI initiatives were also presented in Hoedspruit at Nourish Eco Village in Sigagule village where they visited a crèche, food garden, and food scheme for locals.

She said that the 7-day trip was to celebrate the beauty of Limpopo and to encourage people to explore their backyard. “For the winners, it was the experience of a lifetime to see the majestic Limpopo like they had never seen before.” Benny Masekwameng, a renowned chef, TV personality, and culinary expert; Mark Sham of Like a Tourist; MC Alphi Mkhwanazi; and radio presenter Kandis joined the winners on the trip.
