Two suspects, posing as guests, robbed a Tzaneen guest house, assaulting and tying up the owner before fleeing with jewellery and cash.

TZANEEN – The Tzaneen Police are investigating a case of business robbery, after a guest house in Maculata Street was robbed on Monday evening.

According to reports, two African males pretended that they came to book a room at the establishment. Just before they needed to pay for their stay, they assaulted the owner and tied her up.

They searched the guesthouse and took all of the owner’s jewellery and took everything in the safe.

The suspects, who were well dressed and spoke Afrikaans and English, fled the scene in a silver Mercedes-Benz with an unknown registration number.

A source told the Herald that the owner has sustained serious injuries from the ordeal.
