Hoedspruit Mayor inspects AFB reservoir

Mayor Tsheko Musolwa meets with Airforce Base management to address town's water crisis and aims to find long-term solutions.

LIMPOPO – As part of ongoing efforts to find long-term solutions to the water crisis in Hoedspruit Mayor Tsheko Musolwa, acting municipal manager Lesley Muroa and community services director Dioka Phasha on Thursday, October 21 met with the management of the Hoedspruit Airforce Base (AFB).

“The delegation inspected the base to check the current state of water infrastructure. The AFB reservoir is the primary source of water to the residents of Hoedspruit and other surrounding areas in town,” said Justice Shipalana MLM spokesperson.

Musolwa said that while there is a general improvement in service delivery in Maruleng, the provision of reliable water supply remains a challenge. He also emphasised that the municipality would engage with Mopani District Municipality to find long-lasting solutions.
