Merensky learners excel at Limpopo IPT tennis trials

Merensky Agricultural Academy's tennis players impress at Limpopo IPT trials, with Zoë Venter and Ilana Lubbe selected for Limpopo team.

TZANEEN – On Saturday, October 26, Merensky Agricultural Academy’s tennis players took part in the Limpopo IPT tennis trials at the municipal courts in Polokwane.

In the u/19 boys category, Gr 9 learner, Righardt Erasmus secured 7th place, while Barend Fourie was forced to withdraw due to an injury.

In the u/19 girls category, Zoë Venter claimed first place, with fellow Gr 9 learner, Meninke Myburgh finishing in 7th place.

In the u/15 girls category, Ilana Lubbe placed 4th. Zoë Venter, competing in the u/19 division despite being u/16, emerged as the top-ranked player in Limpopo.

Both Zoë and Ilana have been selected for the Limpopo team.
