Tzaneen art studio hosts annual youth art competition

Saffron Art Studio will host its annual youth art competition, inviting Limpopo learners to showcase their wildlife-themed artwork.

LIMPOPO – The Saffron Art Studio in Tzaneen is set to host its second annual art competition for children and high school learners on July 26.

Following the success of the inaugural event in 2022, which received an enthusiastic response from the public, the studio has announced that the competition will now be held annually.

“Sponsored by PNA and Paint Pot, this competition is open to all young artists aged 7 to Gr 12, who reside in Limpopo,” said the Saffron Art Studio team.

The theme for this year’s competition is “Local Wildlife.” Participants must submit original artworks, A3 or larger, created during 2024 or 2025, and signed and dated on the front.

On exhibition day, July 26, members of the public will be invited to vote for their favourite entries by ballot. A panel of three judges will also be involved in the selection process.
