Southern Cross matrics celebrate results
Southern Cross Schools celebrates its 2025 matrics, who achieved a 96% pass rate and 48 distinctions.
HOEDSPRUIT – Southern Cross Schools is celebrating the remarkable achievements of its matric Class of 2025.
This year, the school had 24 matric candidates, who collectively earned 48 distinctions, demonstrating the dedication, resilience, and hard work of its learners. The school brags with a 96% pass rate, a testament to the commitment of both learners and teachers.
Top achievers in the class include Shérisma Snyman, who earned seven distinctions, followed closely by Danni Wall, Kelly Taylor, and Caeley Scheepers, each with six distinctions. Aurette Ferreira and Sophia Swemmer also performed exceptionally well, earning five distinctions each.
The school expressed pride not only in the academic achievements but also in the character and determination demonstrated by every learner. “We celebrate every one of our 2025 matrics. You have made us extremely proud,” said Alex Adams, the school spokesperson.
Southern Cross Schools also acknowledged the invaluable role of the matric teachers, who guided and supported the learners throughout their final year. Their dedication contributed significantly to the success of the class.
“Achieving such outstanding results is a collective effort. Our learners’ accomplishments reflect their hard work, perseverance, and the strong support of their teachers and families,” she added.
As the Class of 2025 moves forward, Southern Cross Schools expressed confidence that they are well-prepared for the next chapter in their lives. “Go well, Class of 2025. Your future is bright and full of promise,” concluded Adams.
