Nkowankowa Rugby trumps Potgietersrus

Nkowankowa Rugby Club’s first team played two matches in April so far winning against Potties and a near-loss to Noordelikes Rugby Club.

On April 2 they played against Potties at Letaba Rugby Club in Tzaneen, winning 27-20. Surprise Monyela, Uginn Pilusa, Hope Hiliza and Inkateko Shirelele each scored a try with Hope Bureni converting two tries and successfully kicking a penalty. On April 9 they played against Noordelikes at Noordelikes Rugby Club and lost 19-10. Kulani ‘Dakoo’ Chabalala scored two tries and no conversions were succesfully slotted.

On March 26, they won their match against Sheshego Rugby Club with a whopping 33-5 full-time score. Tshegofatso Makgopa, Mandlenkosi Nkosi, Gabriel Nyalungu, Hope Hiliza and Kulani Chabalala each scored a try and Hope Bureni succeeded in four conversions for the final score. Nkowankowa will be in action again on April 20 against Louis Trichardt’s third team at Letaba Rugby Club. Kick-off is 20:00.
