Emmanuel FC leaves Mikhado FC speechless

The relegation axe will have to wait for another day for Emanuel FC after they beat Mikhado FC 2-0, last weekend.

The points collected helped them to avoid the swinging axe ready to chop poorly performing teams from the ABC Motsepe Stream-A league. To ensure that they win the support of spectators, the owner of Emanuel FC, took the match to Malamulele Stadium where they have a huge support base compared to their hometown Giyani where they share supporters with Giyani Happy Boys.  This was probably a wise choice by the owner considering Emanuel’s past poor performance that landed them at the bottom of the league.

This has left the survival contest to stay in the ABC Motsepe Stream-A league to be between Mikhado FC and Musina United. These two teams are entangled in the relegation dogfight that looks likely to go down to the final day of the season if neither side manages to gather enough decisive points that would set them apart. Of the two teams, Musina United is at the bottom of the league standings with 10 points out of 13 matches.
