The routes will take participants through a blend of open gravel roads and short single tracks with well-stocked waterpoints.
TZANEEN – Cyclists and runners from across the region are gearing up for the Gravelotte Gravel Grinder MTB and Trail Run, taking place on Saturday, October, just 15km outside Gravelotte town.
The MTB race is the main attraction, with four distances on offer: 130km, 60km, 30km, and 15km.
For those who prefer to hit the trails on foot, there will also be a 10km and a 5km trail run.
Organiser Marlize Meintjes said all cyclists are required to hold a Cycling South Africa (CSA) licence, with day licences available for purchase at the venue.

Online entries close on Wednesday, October 22, at midnight, with late entries accepted at the Tzaneen Cycle Café on Friday, October 24 (14:00–17:00) or on race morning from 05:30–06:15.
The routes will take participants through a blend of open gravel roads and short single tracks, with well-stocked waterpoints to keep athletes hydrated.
Backup vehicles will be available on the 130km and 60km routes, and medical support will be stationed both at the venue and along the course.
A 14:00 cut-off time will apply.

Every finisher will receive a medal, and with great prize money up for grabs, competition is expected to be fierce.
Away from the racing, spectators and supporters can enjoy a festive atmosphere with food stalls, a bar, safe parking, clean showers, and bathrooms.
