Video: Land grab turns violent
A security guard was killed after being stoned by an angry mob in Extension 6, Mhluzi on Friday night.
Three other guards were injured and remain in a serious condition at the Middelburg Hospital.
The mob were angry at an interim court order which prevents the allocation of stands and erection of structures on the property, thus nullifying their land grab.
Security guards were posted to the area on Friday night when violence broke out. Police were called in a and restored calm to the area.
A case of murder is being investigated. The deceased is believed to be from Hendricks Security in Witbank.
