The race is on!

Entries for the annual Train Race closed on Monday the 1st of August with an amazing 11 000 runners, walkers and teams.

Collection of race numbers will begin on 8th and 9th August at Middelburg Marathon Club, 17 Lillian Ngoyi Street, and on the 10th August at the Highveld Mall Info Kiosk, eMalahleni (oppsite Mr Price Sport). Collection times are from 11:00 to 16:00 only.

It is important for the people who have entered the Greatest Train Race 2016 to take note that the route has changed.

• The start of the 32 km will be at the Witbank Train Station at 6AM. (secured paid parking will be available)

• The start of the 15 km will be on the Old Middelburg road at the Hillside Station turn off near La Rochelle at 6:00.

• The Start of the Relay & 4.9 km fun run will be at the Kees Taljaard Stadium in Middelburg at 7:00

• The Old Middelburg road (R555) will close at 5:00 on the morning of GTR.

• Relay and fun run entrants must ensure that they have their own transport to Middelburg.
