Lets appreciate our towns cleaners

Middelburg wins the Kwêla town of the year! Best news for our town ever.

While we are still in the celebratory mood let’s not forget the ladies and gentlemen who wake up early in the morning to ensure that our town is clean.

During this woman month, a woman by the name of Ms Michelle Prinsloo proposed that the town join hands in donating presents for the cleaners.

Her vision is that any person, company, the municipality, NGO’s to help put together a shoe box for each and every woman who sweeps those streets.

The shoe boxes will include feminine items to make the ladies feel special and appreciated this woman’s month.

There are a total of 36 cleaners on the streets every morning.

Come on town of Middelburg, we can do this!

Anyone who wants to donate, can drop the items at the Middelburg Observer Offices in Meyer Street where Ms Prinsloo will come daily to collect the items and start packing the shoe boxes.

For more information contact Ms Prinsloo on 082 224 7837.
