According to the worker, who cannot be identified, she was working in her ill daughter’s place last week Monday when the incident occurred.

She says she was washing dishes when the elderly man came to her and said: “I want to taste you.”

She did not understand what he suggested. The next moment the man showed her his private parts and walked around the house, wherever she was cleaning, he came rubbing on her.

The man then asked her to leave, paid her and said she must return the next week.

When she arrived on Monday, he said to her there is no work for her.

The domestic worker’s daughter, who worked for the man for almost seven years, has been off sick for the past four weeks. Her mother suspects the man also molested her daughter.

“She has lost so much weight, she is bedridden. She does not want to tell us what is eating her, she goes to the clinic alone. She is pale and her veins are very visible,” said the domestic worker.

Two Observer Journalist visited the employer’s house on Monday morning. The man denied the allegations and accused the domestic workers of trying to blackmail a job out of him.

“I am impotent, I would never do such a thing. She cleaned the house, I paid her and she left, I don’t know why she is lying,” claimed the employer.

• A 37 year old man from Kranspoort tried to commit suicide last week Monday. The 37 year old climbed into a bath tub and cut his leg, and his stomach and then cut off his penis. He was rushed to the hospital and survived.
