Uitkyk women arrested

Four women were arrested for soliciting with the purpose to commit prostitution at the Uitkyk informal settlement on Tuesday.

The arrests are the result of a successful crime prevention operation spearheaded by the Middelburg cluster commander, brig. Moses Bolton together with the Steve Tshwete Traffic Department.

The women, Vinolia Mogamedi (32), Phumzile Vilakazi (33), Lindiwe Mahlangu (36) and Ntombifuthi Mahlalela (37) all appeared in the Middelburg Magistrates Court on the day of their arrest.

They were all released on R250 bail and will appear in court again in April.
