Sky high fuel prices expected for October
Queues can be expected at all South African fuel outlets as another increase in petrol and diesel prices is set for tonight.
The price for 93 octane will increase with 99 cents and 95 octane with R1.00 pushing the general petrol price up to R17 per litre.
The diesel price will increase with R1.24 per litre leaving fuel prices at its highest yet.
The increases are said to be a result of general International crude oil prices and a turbulent exchange rate.
Middelburg residents have started filling up their tanks since yesterday in an attempt to avoid long queues, ahead of the midnight increase on Tuesday.
Mr de Ridder from the Kanonkop Engen filling station and Ms Botha from Sasol, told www.mobserver.co.za that they took preemptive measures to ensure enough stock for the high demand.
