UPDATE: No electricity – technicians at work

Certain areas of Middelburg have experienced power outages since last night and are currently still without electricity.

The Steve Tshwete Local Municipality has been reached, and informed www.mobserver.co.za that the outage is a result of heavy rains.

Municipal technicians have been hard at work to restore the electricity since yesterday 22:00.

The estimated restoration time for Kanonkop is said to be about three hours.
Unfortunately it can’t be said when other areas with regain power.

Areas affected are: Kanonkop, Aerorand, Middelburg Mall and Vaalbank areas, Middelburg Ext. 33, and certain parts of Tokologo.
