UPDATE: Loskop farm attack victims discharged from hospital
A respected figure of the Loskop farming community, Mr Tom Markram and his daughter Christa, were attacked on their farm on Sunday morning.
Three men, clad in gloves and balaclavas assaulted Mr Markram with pangas during the attack.
Mr Markram’s hand was split open during the assault and both he and his daughter were rushed to Midmed Hospital for treatment.
They were discharged on the same day.

In a description of the attackers, it was said that the one man was short in build and was wearing a pair of light blue trousers and a green shirt. The second attacker was described as slightly taller and was wearing a red jacket with black trousers and carrying a blue backpack. The third man was a tall, older man also wearing a red jacket.
Members of the community formed a search party for the suspects until the SAPS took over with an ongoing investigation.
