The N4 near Waterval Boven, which was reported closed, is now open for use.

Trac spokesperson, Solange Soares Nicholson confirmed that the road is currently closed saying that they will inform road users via their communication platforms when it is safe to use again.

Until then motorists are advised to use the alternative route via the Schoemanskloof road.
