Father rushing child to hospital allegedly causes multi vehicle collisions
A double tragedy unfolded on Saturday shortly before 11:00 when a man rushing his baby to the hospital, allegedly skipped a red robot and caused a crash in which at least three vehicles were written off.
The man was speeding to hospital after a drowning incident at home.
While rushing to hospital in his Mustang, the man allegedly skipped a red light, causing the multiple vehicle collision.
One of the victims in another vehicle was seriously injured, while the driver of another vehicle hit a tree head-on.
The accident occurred in the intersection of Walter Sisulu and Clubville’s Van der Merwe Street.
It happened a block away from the banquet hall where more than 700 wrestlers were competing in a cross country competition.
