Commissioner warns of online SAPS job scam

The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Mondli Zuma, has warned the public of a bogus job listing advertisement which indicates that there are vacant positions for internship opportunities within the service.

The advertisement has been circulated on social media platforms.

Members of the public are therefore warned not to fall prey to such malicious scams as there are no internships available currently nor has the province put out such an advertisement.
The public is also urged to be vigilant and contact their nearest police stations for clarity to confirm the legitimacy of such adverts in future.

Jobs in the South African Police Service are not for sale. Legitimate vacant posts are advertised through the media (print and electronic) as well as the SAPS website.
