Three die, several injured in weekend crashes

Three people lost their and several others were injured in a spate of accidents over the weekend.

•On September 6, the police attended an accident on the N4, near the Arnot offramp, where passengers in the two vehicles were injured.

•In an unrelated incident, three people were killed in a collision on Saturday.

At about 04:00, on the corner of Samora Machel and Mandela Drive, a truck and a Daihatsu collided.
The driver of the Daihatsu was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

At about 23:00, two people also died on the N11.

Another accident occurred at about 18:00 on the Samora Machel but no serious injuries were reported.

• On Monday morning a Tiguan and a Ford Ranger crashed into a cow about 30km from Middelburg on the N11.
Both vehicles were badly damaged and the drivers sustained injuries.
