Baby dies in multi-vehicle accident on N4

An accident involving three vehicles on the N4 this evening has claimed the life of one baby and left five people injured.

The accident, which took place near the Hendrina offramp, involved two light motor vehicles and a truck.

According to first respondents, the collision occurred at around 21:00 when the driver of the Corsa bakkie lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a truck and a Chevrolet bakkie.

Five people, including the father of the baby, were rushed to hospital for medical treatment but all three the drivers involved survived the incident.
