Steve Tshwete licence department undergoes full inspection

An official visit from the MEC for the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison showed the Mpumalanga region's effort to ensure the readiness for level 3 of lockdown.

The Steve Tshwete Local Municipality welcomed MEC Gabisile Shabalala, who spearheaded an inspection into the compliance of regulations in the licence department.

The MEC was briefed on measures put in place by the department, to observe protocol, followed by a full tour of the facility.

The licencing department boasted with a facility meeting all regulations including access control by security, social distancing observation, sanitasing of facilities and equipment and screening of customers.

All staff members returning to work have been fully trained, screened and cleared for service ensuring that the licencing department is geared to open for service on Monday 1 June.
