Vandale verwoes nuwe park
Raadslid Hennie Niemann het vanoggend skoon moedeloos geword toe hy sien hoe die mooi park by die Athlonedam verwoes word.
“Mense het gevra: ‘ontwikkel asseblief hier by Athlonedam,’ maar vandalisme het klaar begin.”
Rdl. Niemann sê van die swaaie is gesteel, die een oefenapparaat is gebreek en die sonpaneelstaanders waar mense hul selfone kon laai, is nou sonder hul sonpanele.

“Die sonpanele is nou seker by iemand se huis en laai ’n battery!”
Hy was erg omgekrap oor die skade en het vies gesê dat “baie mense net daar is om te vernietig. Ek sal dit nooit verstaan nie.”
Die hartseer is dat mense gereeld kla “die stadsraad doen niks” of “kyk hoe lyk ons dorp van die gemors” en dan is dit daardie selfde inwoners wat afbreek en rommel strooi.
