Murder suspect hands himself over to the police

A 27-year-old man handed himself over to the Mhluzi Police following the death of two people over the weekend.

The man, who can’t be identified yet because he has not appeared in court, is accused of two counts of murder.

According to a police report, the man allegedly stabbed two people to death in Newtown on Sunday morning.

The suspect and the two victims were reportedly involved in a serious altercation over ‘inappropriate parking’.

The victims died on the scene, and the suspect handed himself over to the police later that day.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Middelburg Magistrates’ Court this week.
