Private investigator to look into pensioner’s disappearance
80-year-old Jeff Clapperton has been missing for five days.
The family of Mr Clapperton will now be approaching a private investigator to assist in the search for their missing father and grandfather.
Jayne Lombaard, Jeff’s daughter, told the Middelburg Observer that the investigator will be going through CCTV footage on highways and national roads to see if his vehicle can be traced.
Jeff disappeared on Sunday morning while running errands in eMalahleni.
He was last seen on CCTV footage, making a withdrawal at an ATM at the Sasol Garage on the corner of Swartbos- and Gordon Street, eMalahleni.
Jeff left the filling station in his white Hyundai Atos Prime, registration number: FJX 072 MP.
He was wearing a dark tracksuit and a blue cap.
He has faded tattoo markings on both arms, and is of slight build, grey hair and blue eyes.
