Taking place on Saturday, the weigh-ins for the fights will commence at 08:00, with the action set to begin at 12:00.

The tournament will serve as a great means for local fighters to get their match sharpness at maximum capacity ahead of the Mpumalanga and Nkangala Boxing Championship seasons.

There will be no entry fee required, as the community is urged to attend and support the local fighters.

Event organiser and local boxing legend Steven Pieterse told the Middelburg Observer, “This is a treat for boxing fans and fighters alike. The event is taking place at a great venue, and we are looking forward to it.”

Fellow event organiser and former boxer Collen Maisela will also be in attendance to advise and assess the rising stars of boxing.
