(Watch Video) Local boxing action delights Mhluzi

Boxers from across Mpumalanga took part in the event, with 25 fights taking place on the day.

The Middelburg Boxing Academy’s Sbusiso Notha, Steven Pieterse and Ryan Pieterse.

Some seriously great boxing action took place on Saturday at the Adelaide Tambo Hall.

The event was the brainchild of local boxing legends Steven Pieterse and Collen Maisela, who both had several of their fighters competing in the tournament.

Tobie van den Bergh

Tobie started as a journalist in September 1975. He was appointed editor of the Middelburg Observer in 1982 where he worked until he retired in 2024. He received numerous awards, is a founding member of the Forum for Community Newspapers and has published two books about his work. Although retired, Tobie is still very much involved in community journalism.
