Traffic alert – roads flooding as downpour continues

Several roads in and around eMalahleni have been flooded as the downpour of rain continues.

Motorists are advised to approach the following routes, or make use of alternative ones due to flooding:

• Photos shared by motorists traversing the R555 (old Witbank road) this morning show that the road surface has been covered in mud after heavy rainfall.

• The Eskom bridge where the N4 crosses with the R555 in eMalahleni was flooded.

• The Delmas road close to Red Star Tracking is flooded with a raging storm reported in the area.

Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution on the roads.
