Expected petrol and diesel prices for May

Petrol prices are expected to increase yet again this month, with these changes set to come into effect on Wednesday, May 1.

Fortunately, there is some good news, as the price of diesel to decrease by at least 30 cents per litre.

The latest information from the Central Energy Fund indicates that petrol will increase by 35 cents per litre and diesel will drop by 30–37 cents per litre.

These figures are not official yet, with the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy still to formally announce the exact statistics.

You can find the expected inland figures below:
• 95 Unleaded – R25.47 per litre
• 93 Unleaded – R25.13 per litre
• Diesel – R22.23 per litre.
