Around the world and through the ages in MIDDIE Derby build-up

Anticipation is mounting, with Hoërskool Middelburg celebrating a week long build-up towards the Derby between themselves and HTS Middelburg.

The school kicked off on Monday with an oompies en anties theme.

On Tuesday, learners held a Career Day followed with a Battle of the Ages that evening that took place at the pavilion.

Wednesday learners explored the different cultures of the world.

Learners enjoy some cultural festivity.

Today, learners dressed up as Tech-rats only to end the evening off with a pyjama party.

The Derby kicked off on Monday at the Middelburg Country Club where the opposing schools’ golf sides faced off against each other, followed by chess on Tuesday.

The hockey teams then battled it out on Wednesday, to be followed by shooting today.

The full programme can be found in the exclusive Derby wrap in this week’s issue of the Middelburg Observer.
