Van Dyksdrift temporarily closed by truck accident

The Van Dyksdrift road was temporarily closed this morning following a collision between two trucks.

This morning's collision between two trucks.

The accident took place shortly after 06:00 this morning at the entrance to the old Middelburg Mine after one of the trucks turning out from the mine was struck by the other.

No injuries were reported in the collision but the road was temporarily closed to allow vehicle recovery.

It was confirmed on Traffic Alert that the road is open.
